Case Type

How do I know what type of case I have. I am ordering a detriot locker and it is asking me to specific case type. i.e. B case, E case. I know I have a 9 inch rear end with 31 spline.

The model locker I am looking at is the Model #187SL17B. with the 2.90 bearing size which indicates it fits a B Case.

Thanks for any help.

Thomas

The only thing I can tell you is what I have down. I either measure the bearing myself on the old unit or I pull the part number from the old bearing and match it that way. My guess is you have the smaller bearing which looks to be the B type from what you posted.

I think the WAR case I have in my mustang uses a larger bearing.
