engine squeal fixed
well, had replaced the serpentine with a Gates belt. In the years I worked in an auto parts store, Gates was always top notch.
But this thing was squealing BAD.. so I put a motocraft on and viola, problem gone .. go figure

This issue popped up a while back and it was mentioned that the aftermarket belts are a touch longer than the OE belts. That puts less tension on the tensioner assembly which makes for a looser fit on the belt. Putting in the shorter belt solves the problem.
