Oil leak from oil drain tube?

So i was rotating my tired today and as I had the passenger side from tire off i could see a small tube that is leaking oil. Is this suppose to leak oil regularly or is it an over flow for the engine?

Sounds like the fuel bowl drain tube, there have been numerous leaks lately due to the orings that seal the valve. its on the back of the fuel filter housing - cycle the yeloow handle a couple of times and see if it will stop. Sometimes a little grit will get stuck in the valve but if that doesnt fix it you will probably need the orings.

Well, this tube is different from the drain tube on the fuel filter housing. Its on the passenger side of the engine. And its definately oil leaking from it. I have already replaced the o rings on the drain valve for the fuel housing.

toward the front or back of the motor?

On the passenger side toward the front is the Fuel drain tube closest to the motor and just outboard of it is the Exhaust backpressure sensor tube. They tend to get clogged with soot and if it cracks or breaks and get moisture in it it could look like oil.

Your right, I went back out and looked at it. Thanks for the help. I guess all that oil like residue is from the fuel that had leaked down.
