I kinda like it. See the photos on this other thread. https://www.ford-trucks.com/dcforum/DCForumID109/5661.html Nice Superduty-type grill and big 90-inch blue oval. Yeah, it's not perfect (it'd have to be a '68 to be that ), but it is nice. I see where you get some of the Dodge "Mayor" but I also see Ranger in it. Wish the grille was not slant edged and it needs a straight six with a stick shift, but otherwise I think I will be pleased to see these on the streets starting this summer.
INLINE SIX POWER! '95 F150 XL
300 Cubic Inches of Low RPM Truck Torque! And twin-I-beams too!

>I saw a picture of the 04 F150 today. At first sight I
>thought, "They've put a Ford grill in a Dodge Ram". If you
>like big ugly trucks you'll love the 04.
>Dono
"ugly" was a bad choice of words on my part - sorry about that. It is written that beauty is "in the eye of the beholder" and that's true.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 07-Jan-03 AT 08:27 PM (EST)]It's not bad, I think it's a little better than the 97-03, which aren't horrible anyway. But I still prefer 80-86 and 92-96 (maybe I'm a little biased ). Then there's also 73-79, 87-91... Okay, I guess I still prefer anything pre-97. I do like the Superduties though.

I am a pretty un-biased guy when it comes to the automotive industry
On a Personal note.
The pictures of the 04 don't do the actual truck justice.
It is MUCH nicer in person.
The Lightning is quite Awesome looking except for the yellow interior they used in a silver truck.
The Nissan Titan was the second truck I saw at the show in Detroit yesterday. It is Tinny(I touched it) and probably because of the colour they used looks wierd with no definitive lines except looking "Big Panelled" (Think of crushed pop cans).
The suspension is a mess. The design of this truck seems COPIED design of several N/A trucks and looks it.

I agree w/ Dennis. Though I was not fortunate enough to be at the autoshow :-( , from the pictures I've seen the Nissan isn't very impressive. It may have power, but there's a lot more factors that go into a vehicle.
If you look at some of the cheaper version's of the new F-150 (XL, XLT), you'll see real chrome bumpers there. I like it and Ford made all those flavors to suit our different tastes. If you don't like it, buy an old Ford truck (you're in luck cause they last a long time
