i see the pics thank you. did you notice much improvement with tis mod? me and my brother-in-law lauphed at the exhaust when i bought this truck. my first v-10 but not my last. thanks again meery christmas.
Yes there is an improvement. The best way to describe it is being able to pull a hill without downshifting like before. The mod does come with one down fall though, you will get a slight exhaust flutter noise on hard acceleration at 1800-2100 rpm's.
It is not listed on the website. There are two versions that they make, one is shorter than the other. It is most likely the one you will need. Call them to order. Their customer service is great.
It is $125.00 if I remember. Stans pipe is a cut and weld.
The Flowmaster Y has a little extra pipe and bending that is needed. I bet the cost is close when all is said and done, labor and all. The Flowmaster Y can be welded up like the new OEM exhaust. It is the 05 and up. I think it looks a lot cleaner.
The best looking system I have seen, comes from a muffler shop (D&D) in Palmdale, California. It used the Flowmaster Y. It's pictures are in the gallery of PureRockRacing.
Do a search, there is a thread that has all of the systems pictured.

This is what I did. I went into a Mienke muffler shop to get a flowmaster muffler. When I was there we lifted the truck and I noticed the stock y-pipe(H-pipe?). I asked if they could cut it out and make a new y-pipe. The said no problem and quickly made a y-pipe and welded it in. It is basically a 2.5 inch pipe that they cut at an angle and do the same to another and then weld together. It was cheap. If I remember it was like 50$ dollar for the y-pipe and 50$ for the flowmaster. If the muffler shop worker is skilled this is basically an easy job for him. These guys have been making y-pipes for years for different model vehicles. Just my 2 cents
