On my 55 I dont have any tension in the arms. Is there a newer replacement or vehicle to get them off that I could use without modifying?

LAST EDITED ON 13-Jul-01 AT 09:57 AM (EST)[p]You should be able to just replace the spring on the arm.

If the arm needs to be replaced, take a look at an MG or other small sports car. If I remember mine correctly, the pin the wiper attaches to is smaller than modern vehicles.

Failing that, check out Mac's. I have seen them for sale there.

Good Luck!

Most all the vintage Ford truck suppliers sell replacment arms. I looked at replacing those springs before, and I don't think it would be much fun, if you could find the spring. That is a very strong spring.
