You're welcome. What I know of it is only from links and a few guys on here. JTHarvey and Strokin have had theirs off more than a few times. I'm sure once the Holiday dust settles you will have enough turbo info to make your head spin. That's what's cool about this site. Not only do you get the step by step (sometimes w/pics) but you get the "little tricks" these guys learned from experience. Patience and become a supporter.
If your talking about just replacing your injectors, the turbo does not have to be removed. You do have to remove the intercooler tubes from the five-way pipe.
If you are wanting to remove the turbo for other reasons; no, the exhaust y-pipe does not need to be removed. Hope this helps.
