I can't help with your question, but I'm interested in your old Bendix brakes, if you still have them. georgehks(No Email Addresses In Posts!)

There is nothing worse than seeing a good looking ford truck at a show with a ch**y engine. They should have a special section for these vehicles called "FREAKS with FUNK conversions".

I just welded a TCI IFS into my daughters 1953 Ford PU to improve the steering and breaking and now it appears the 6 cyl will not fit. Has anyone tried this combination?

Welcome aboard biznsbydzn1.
Though it will get answered here it`s best to start a new thread for your topic. This is an old thread from 07-17-2001.

Yeah especially since the original title has the "C" word in it.

Welcome to FTE, but yes start a new thread. This has been talked about at length and having a new - related title will get you many more responses!

I so wanted to pass by this thread but the temptation was too great...Honestly I am so tired of seeing SBC's in ford rod's, and i'm so tired of hearing the argument about cost, etc...i mean you get what you pay for...this is FTE...FORD TRUCK ENTHUSIASTS...and i enthusiastically don't want to read or talk about putting a SBC in another Ford...

It appears you guys got caught up in the old thread, this guy never mentioned the word "chevy" . He did however mention 6 cylinder so don't go scolding him yet. I've seen guys being praised for keeping the 6 cylinder on here
