Personally I can't speak for 4tl8ford but if you read one of the sticky"s at the top of the forum it will guide you through the process, it has helped me alot. You will have to start a gallery and upload your pictures to it and then you can add them to your posts on here. There are others on here that use other sites such as photobucket and upload from there. Hope this is of some help and we will be waiting to see your pictures. Oh and by the way welcome to this forum, I think you will like it, most of us do.

Last year there was a 53ish with a utility box that sat a a "large truck" garage for years. I always saw it there, never did anything about it. then when I got the itch last year it was gone. it was blue

That looks to be identical to the one I have. Any chance any of the drawers were still in it? I know I'm missing a couple in mine and have been trying to find a donor for replacements.

Jon,

You just need to buy the one that's been floating around the 'Bay for the last year, you know, the $2-3K one. That's what I think he's starting the bidding at, the ten times he has listed it. I would think he'd get the hint that it's not worth that much.

Thats insane, I mean I only paid $50 for mine (bout $500 by the time I went to get it).

Smile I have one!!!

Hey all! If anyone is interested I have a 1950's McCabe-Powers (St Louis) utility bed that is in fair condition. It is currently on a 1965 Chevy C10 pickup and was used by my grandfather for plumbing jobs back in the day. It still has all of it drawers and the the bed is still very functional. I am restoring the truck and will be taking it off shortly. My wish is to find a home for the bed where it will be used or restored for someone else. There are not many of these around and I would hate to see it end up as a rust bucket. I have photos if anyone would like to see.

I also forgot to mention that the bed is in New Mexico so it has not been exposed to the weather of the either coast. It truly is a nice utility bed that was most likely used by Ma Bell for telephone services in the 50's.

This truck belongs to a local guy here in San Diego. The truck is absolutely pristine and he drives it all the time. I have talked to him on a few ocassions but never took pictures of the truck...next time.
