Interior...
Hey everyone,
Not long ago I sold my Early Bronco and bought a low mileage 1996 Ford F-150. I appreciate all the help with the questions I had concerning my Bronco. My new truck has a "Maroon" (RED) interior and when I took possession of the truck it didn't come with the floor mats or the cup holder that attaches to the front of the bench seat. I have found a set of floor mats on ebay but they say F-Series on them and they are the wrong shape. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to where I can find something like these items....preferably OEM Ford Parts....I am trying to preserve a piece of history. I have also checked the local parts areas as well as NPD and so on. Any help would be appreciated.

To the best of my knowledge oem floor mats weren't an option. At least none of the trucks we have had came with mats. You may have to just get some generic ones. If nothing else at least use some really cheap ones until you find what you want.
That cup holder that attches to the bench seat is a tough item to find. I don't think many were produced. I spoke to the local Ford dealer and found out that there are a few different versions of the cup holder. It came in any of the available interior colors and was different depending on if you have an auto or manual trans (manual one is smaller to accomidate the shifter) The specific one I was after (grey, manual trans), only 10 were left in the whole country (at dealers that is). He printed me out a list and I was able to call one of the dealers and have it shipped to me.
I suggest going to your local Ford parts counter to see if they can track one down for you. My only other suggestion is junk yard.
Lastly, I was able to convince the dealer I bought it from to discount it 50%, because after sitting for 10 years in their inventory, it seems unlikely that there's a huge demand.
Good luck.

Thanks KW160. I hate the dealer around here everytime I want something I always get the old "It's 10 years old and we don't carry parts for that old of a vehicle". Which is really sad because I am a die hard Ford guy and all I put on my truck is Motorcraft Parts. I know it's more exspensive but hey...I know the parts are good. I will give the dealer a shot. I have a pic of a identical truck interior with the cup holder I beleive I am looking for. I just want the cup holder because it is missing. I don't allow drinks, food, or smoking in my truck. Just want it so everything is there.
As for the floor mats, right now I have a blanket on the floor to protect the carpet. The dearler says they can't get me the floormats because of the whole 10 year thing and the ones on ebay aren't the right ones. Kinda sucks cause that is the only thing missing besides the cup holder.
Well, thanks for your input. Hopefully someone has an idea about the floor mats.

Put some cheap ones in for protection until you find the right ones. I have seen a couple of these trucks with factory floor mats, they are out there. And my truck has the plastic clip for a factory floor mat in the carpet.
Brown 4x4, I beleive the F-150 trucks didn't have the plastic clip in them until 1997 with the new body style. I have both seen and owned a few pre-1997 trucks and have never seen a plastic clip that holds the floor mat in place. But as for protection, I do have a blanket down for now. Thanks for your input.
There where floor mats In every new F150 i looked at . I will check my garage and see if have set. . I used to take them out when new and get mats that hold water ect. My last 2 new trucks had red interior . so I'll check As for the cup holder I shoped for alot of trucks in 96 -96 . And if XLT Reg cab and had bench seat they had cup holder. My 95 and 96 both did. But they were pain if wanted to haul extra person . So they where scaped buy every F150 owner I knew.Good luck

Interesting. I went and looked in both my 95 F-150's. One has nothing. But my nice one does have a black plastic "button" in the carpet on the drivers side. I always assumed it was factory and it definately looks it. I'll post a pic if I have time.
Now I'm gonna be looking at the floor of every pre-97 truck I can lol.
BTW, sounds like you have a pretty nice truck. I'd love to find an all original low mileage one in mint condition. I'd like to think of mine as one of the nicer ones but it gets driven nearly every day and it's tough to keep everything absolutely perfect.

Lostin90s, My truck is a 96...and is in new condition but is just missing the cup holder and floor mats. Maybe you have some mats from a 1992 - 1996 style truck. The mats should kind of be square at the bottom and start to taper in from about half way up the mat and the corners should be rounded. The later mats found in the 1997 and up trucks are cut different and are usually found with the hole in the mat for the plastic clip from the carpet to go through.
brown 4x4, Interesting in deed! I have never seen a pre-1997 truck with the plastic holder. Although I have seen some 90's cars that had them. The plastic "button" as you are calling it, I beleive it is manufactured with the carpet. So maybe it is a replacement done later on. Have to look into it.

Brown 4x4, Thanks for the pic...the plastic "button" or clip is a lil different than others i've seen....yours seems smaller in a way...but just slightly...probably just me. As for the carpet being stock...it's kinda hard to tell from the pic...if it was a wider shot I could possibly tell you. But for all we know it could be a factory replacement or aftermarket. Did you buy the truck brand new?
No I didn't buy it new, I bought it in '02 with 108K on it. The carpet definately had some usage as it took quite a bit to get it clean enough for my satisfaction. When I first got the truck I took the carpet out to powerwash it. To me it seemed like the carpet had never been out before. The way it fits and how every hole is perfect leads me to believe it's original (or Ford for sure anyway). On the older trucks anyway, aftermarket carpet really stands out as it doesn't fit very well at all.

Brown 4x4, Sounds like it could be factory....I'll have to keep a closer watch out for things like that. I usually notice little things like that on vehicles. Say, if I could ask....How do you get all the stuff about you trucks you own at the bottom of each post? Thanks.
The cup holder in my '92 was brilliant! Yes, it was a little obtrusive when a 3rd passenger was along but that was so infrequent it didn't cause me concern. Deep wells for two cups (or a ton of coins!) and at the front, down low, was a multi-use shelf thingy that held pens/pencils and a file folder or clipboard.
I should have removed it when I sold it...would have put it in my '96 that I bought 2 years later.
