233 Motor

I haven't had much luck with a previous post. 223 in a 57 f-100, would it have it's dip stick on the passengers side. I know 60 has it on the drivers side and the 55 223 115 hp is on the passengers side. One more thing, how many HP in the 57 223 ? In advance, thanks.

My 56 shop manual shows the dip stick on the passenger side for
the 223 engine, rated at 133 hp at 4000 rpm and 202 for torque.

lists:
1957-60 F Series
223 ci ohv six-cyl "Mileage Maker"
HP 126 at 4000 rpm (net)
HP 139 at 4200 rpm (gross)
Engine code "J"

I guess you guys have answered my questions. Guess I have an original 57 engine, oh what a relief it is !!!!!Again, a great site and thanks for your imput........
