I was at the local pick a part today and found an FE with a 4bbl autolite 4100,a cast iron intake with the fill spout and smmoth valve covers. The casting numers on the heads were EDC-E 6090 and the block numbers started with a 5......? Any how I removed the v/c and found adjustable rockers! The adjusters were all worn,I could turn each one by hand so I left them there.Should I have gotten them?
Well the EDC heads are worth a buck or 2...they were a 58 352 head if I remember correctly? the have the small Machined chambers and are real good for making Hi Compression for a Hotrod motor.....If you can get the heads cheap enough? depending on what your build will be.. JMO...
I agree it's on old 332 or 352. I'd grab the heads if they are good. Russ is correct on his info. The rockers you can always get oversize adjusters. They omly come in .003 oversize and they can be a bitch to install. But if you can turn those by hand they are pretty played out and the new .003 ones will be an easy install. We have no real junk yards here in CT. You stand at the counter...tell them what you need.....and they look it up and fetch it for ya. Your lucky if you can find a part for the early 90's there no less any thing 60/70's
