My wife and I started cooking last night. We are having a traditional Christmas dinner for many of our family members. Last night I was voted the new head of the family. BIG responsibility as with my wifes fam and mine we have about 70 people. There will be 27 here today. In fact they will start showing up soon, some are here asleep now. Turkey, ham, dressing, yams, mashed taters, greenbean casserole, bing cherry salad, lufsa, many other trimmings, and pecan , pumpkin, and coconut cream pie for desert. And a big batch of Tom & Jerrys for the Adults. Yehaw, Merry Christmas everyone.
I slicked out to the one and only convenience store open today and got some hotdogs - knowing that I am about to have tons of turkey, ham, and like that dropped on me by concerned neighbors who see me as the only single guy in the neighborhood - and who also hae made my own traditional mistake:
That of having cooked up ten truckloads of fine meat (Because: It's WHAT YOU DO!) and afterwards considering turkey sandwiches for lunch for the next two weeks...
I hope Labrador Retrievers like turkey!
