Hello!! I am new to the forum here but i am not new to ford trucks....I have a 1976 F-250 frame and I don't have any information about it. I am just wondering what is the difference between before and after serial # Y20001 when searching for brake parts.....any help will be appreciated.....

Hello- Welcome to FTE! Check out the list of tech forums we have on FTE. There is a wealth of information and expertise here to help you. Check the links at the bottom, and the menu bar at the top, of the page for more information and resources. Have fun!

Y20000-Y39999 would be calendar year 1977 March production numbers. There may have been a running production change in some part. Get your parts for your serial number. Of course if someone has swapped parts in then you are up a creek and will have to match parts up. Sorry I can't be specific. If you spend some time cross referencing some parts on the auto parts store websites you may be able to figure it out.

Y20001 was the end of the Nickname ...high boys and the frames were widened.
