key not working
my girlfriend was goofn off with the power locks in my truck when i stuck the key in the door to unlock them and something broke. the key goes in and turns both ways and dose not unlock the door.
i took the door panel off and i looks like a rod has fallen off of the lock. dose anyone have an exploded view of the inside of the drivers door?

Take a look at the end of the rod that went to the lock. There may be some piece of the retainer still on it. Also look in the bottom of the door for any pieces of the retainer. It could be either plastic or metal. It may have just popped off and can be reinstalled. If it broke, you should be able to get another one from an auto parts store that has a selection of replacement parts for interiors like door latch handles, window cranks, window crank ***** and the like. If the other end of the rod is still attached to the door latch you should be able to figure out how the other end goes on the lock without a diagram. Sorry, I don't have one.

My 97 Ford CD does not have the type of schematic you reference for the Ranger. There is one for the power lock door latch actuator. I don't know if it is the same for sure but it probably is. If you want it I'll try to send it to you, send me a pm.
