My chassis parts book shows the same number for both the 226 and 215. I missed that you were talking about an OHV 6. My book doesn't show a brace for the 215. I remember looking at a 215 6 in a 52 F-1 as a teenager. I don't recall seeing that brace on it.

Hi and thanks for the info. I am trying to get some time to get over to the truck to take off the Mini Breather to see what the top of the Carb looks like so I can determine what type of Oil Bath Cleaner goes on it.
I have a 1952 Ford F1 Pickup with a 6 cylinder 215 cid overhead engine/ 3 spd on the floor. I am trying to locate a Oil Bath Cleaner for the Carb. Also looking for some restoration pictures of interior and exterior for my '52
I have a oil bath breather for a 51 F3 6 banger I am parting out. I think it is a 215, already sold the carb. I also could send you some pics of my 52 F1 if you send me your em address. Mine is gw65atgwtcdotnet and that is encrypted to hide it from the spam scam people. I have a bunch of f series stuff.

Just re-read your post. In 52, a new 6 cylinder engine was introduced. It was no longer a flathead like in previous years. Thus, the air cleaner is slightly different.

Hopefully I will take a ride to where I have the Pickup stored and will looked at the Carb. Anything on a 6V Radio for the pickup?
