you are right. it seems to be the headliner with me also. does anybody have any problems with water coming in the sliding window from outside on the top of the rubber?

Mine does, which I thought was normal. I have not seen any water make it into the truck other than in the channel, and nothing feels wet that I can touch. I wonder if there are drain holes for this... Maybe I should pay closer attention to my slider when it rains.

And since I could find nothing with the seats out, I will check my headliner.

Have that noise behind the dome light too, also co-worker has the same noise on his. We thought it was a loose wiring harness hitting the headliner.

This is exactly where my rattling is coming from. I just found it this weekend but haven't fixed it yet. Thanks for posting the remedy!!

Did you just take the dome light down and do it, or did you take the headliner down? I have the moonroof, and don't feel like fighting with all the trim and molding to get the liner down.

yea it is real easy fix. take the lens off the dome light with a small pry tool or even your fingers. then the dome light will pop out. (there are 2 clips, one on each side. they were pretty stiff on mine, but they will come out.) then reach your hand in and pull out the pieces of foam (1 on each side of dome light). they are just glued on there. they will come off fairly easily. i have had mine out for a few days now and it is weird...i still wait for it to rattle, but havent heard it since. much nicer

Hey guys.... there is a TSB for this issue also. I had the same problem. I didn't take it to the dealer though. I fixed myself. I pulled the dome light down and placed 2 peices of thick foam weatherstripping on the rubber blocks. Rattle is gone! I have also heard of people using Great Stuff Foam there also. Either way the rattle will go away. Mine has been rattle free for almost a year now. The dealer actually installs rubber blocks in between the the headliners to make it stop. They actually wedge the headliner into place. This will also fix the problem. It seem to only happen to the people with sunroofs. As for the water leaking.... THere is a TSB for the third brake light. THe seal is rolled on the light housing and it will allow water to leak in. They will replace the light with a new one if still under warranty. I hope this helps.

I have the dome light / headliner rattle, rattle somewhere around the rear slider, and a squeaky tailgate. WD-40 or motorcycle chain lube quiets the tailgate. Pounding on the headliner directly behind the drivers seat has finally stopped the dome light rattle. I haven't located the rattle around the rear slider but I think it may be related to my slider binding up when trying to open it.
Sort of embarrassing when I have passengers and my $40k truck is sounding like a warn out motel mattress. These rattle/squeaks need to permanently go!

Oh, one last rattle. Every single passenger, without fail, that sits in the front seat leaves the seat belt flipped over when they get out. Rattles like a ***** until I can reach across and flip it back over.
