Dumb question

when adjusting your rear brakes through the the little hole which way do you spin the adjuster up or down i cant seem to see a diffrence eather way.

It should only turn one way if it's working. Looking at it from the rear of the truck, I'm not 100% sure but I think you would want to turn the right side adjuster counter clock wise, the drivers side clockwise.

If you can't remember just do as I do and look at the threads with a flashlight.

First off they are marked Left (LH) and right (RH)

install them as you are looking at the truck from the REAR.

If I remember correctly If you turn them UPwards thru the hole you are loosening the shoes.

You'll know though because turning the adjuster one direction is harder than the going the other

If you havent done so its always best to inspect the shoes and lube everthing up with antisize before any adjustments.

The ratchet wheels and pawl are frequently worn out. Buy a brake parts kit if necessary.
