I have a 2002 Explorer Sport and would like to know how to bypass the high beam switch that disables the driving lights when enabled. I find my high beams are Very high for travelling gravel roads, for this reason I would like to know a way for my driving lights to stay on when i switch to high beams. I know that on my old vehicle that was set up the same, I cut a wire that went to a relay, and the cures the problem, enabling me to use driving lights when my high beams were on. Hopefully someone has a remedy for this that is not complicated by installing relays and lots of additional wiring.
Thank you,
Matt C.
Someone posted a solution to this awhile back, but I don't remember if it applied to your '02. Try putting your question in the Electrical Systems/Wiring Forum and hopefully you'll get a nibble.
