vin detection?

vin detection?
I recently traded for a '56 F1, without a title. I later found out the vin is located on the glove compartment door, which is missing, as well as all the rest of the interior.I am hoping there is another location on the truck, perhaps the frame? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

vin detection?
The VIN on my 56 F100 is located inside the drivers door opening on a vertical plate between the door hinges. Also there is a stamped vin on the frame rail between the cab and the passenger front wheel. (hard to find)
