VIN Tag Location

I cant find my VIN tag anywhere. Where was it located on a 1965 1/2 ton 2wd?

VIN Tag Location

A few inches below the latch mechanism on the edge of the driver's side door.

If you don't find a tag there or you suspect its from another vehicle, try looking on top of the passengerside frame rail between the front crossmember and the firewall. It should have a star before and a star after the number.
This would be the actual VIN number.

And if you can't find the VIN number there, look on the Frame rails Right ahead of the main crossmember in the engine compartment. It may not be very visible, and you may have to get out some cleaning shtuff to find it. But it will be stamped into the top side of the frame that way you don't have to crawl underneath the truck.
