Considering a 60 F350....

Hi all!

I am considering the purchase of a 1960 F350 dually. I am looking for pointers on problem areas and things to look for. Thanks!

John

Considering a 60 F350....

Hi John, I have a 60 F-350, and have seen some rust on the floor board and rear lower corners of the cab. Not a lot, so I guess I got lucky. I believe my truck started life in New Orleans by the coast which is why I have had some rust. Feel free to e-mail me.

I, too, have an F350. Top speed is around 60 at its best, the ride is rough. Wheels, the original 17.5 inch wheels, are getting scarce and tires are expensive. The Y block is a sweet old engine and parts for it or the 6 are readily available. You will soon be looking at ways to speed the truck up after every vehicle on the freeway anda few pedestrians pass you by.
