Anyways, back on topic.

It's the small things that will really set your truck apart.

Are you looking for performance mods, or visual mods?

A billet grille is great looking, as are new gauges, detailing the interior and painting to match.

A stereo system is wonderfully good and pleasant.

A chip would really give you a nice boost of horsepower, if you don't mind buying higher octane gas.

What do you really want?

what do you mean by cheap? I'm thinking $500 or less when you say that. The sky is the limit if that is so. If you're thinking about $100 or less, theres not so much to be had

headlights, window vents, decals/badges, pinstriping, neon stuff

When I turned 16 my dad bought himself a new car AND truck . . . and he gave me the family beater that had been passed from child to child.

I got mad at him for not buying me anything new, and he told me I could get a new car when I paid for it.
The same went for school. He helped me get through college, and grad school, but I paid for most of it myself.

The lesson he finally taught me was that things are worth much more to you when you have to put the work in yourself to get it.

Looking back, I'm glad I was able to drive that old Buick, and I'm glad that I paid for school myself. The lessons are invaluable.

So, yes there is probably some jealously in the comments, but don't crook your neck while you're looking down your nose.
Most of us wouldn't trade with you when all is said and done.
I could have had the latest and greatest growing up, but I'm glad I didn't, I think I'm a better man for not getting it.

But to each their own.

If you are able to get these great things at your age, and grow up to be a responsible, productive, and good man, then honestly, good for you! I needed the adversity and hardship to make me a good person.

Just don't forget: the person you become is MUCH more important than what you drove in High School.

Like my dad is not the kind of dad that like lets me doing anything and be cocky and stuff because he grew up on a farm, so he wasn't given anything he had to buy his first car and pay for all of his college and grad school because his parents just couldn't and since his dad died when he was 19 he had to help do the farm for a couple years before he just couldn't do it..

I'm looking at getting neon for christmas my mom said she would talk to my dad to see if he approved lol, I found some camo vent visors, but I'm not sure if they would look good on my truck.. so I'm not really sure where to go lol

PS: I know it's not in like 100% correct grammar, that's just the Instant Message type of talk that you know high schools do, so you will have to forgive me, thanks.

The camo will need more camo to not look ridiculous. Say one of those decorative stripes across the top of the windsheild that are in camo. Otherwise the camo window covers will look odd by themselves.

As for the neon, if that floats your boat than great. When you say 12 inch (or was it 6 inch) tubes, they'll be interior and probably have a hookup for the cigarette lighter socket. Which is fine, but you only have so many lighter sockets and each tube will want it's own socket. So you're looking at finding a way to hook them all up.

Yea 6 12" tubes, my friend has neon in his car and he connected them all and hooked them up to his headlight fuse so they come on with the head lights lol.. I have a 5% strip of window tint on the top my windshield..

6 12" neon tubes inside the cab?

I'll offer a disclaimer and say that I personally believe that putting Neon on ANY vehicle is a sin, but when you put it in a truck . . . blaspheme.

That being said: how bright will 6 12" tubes of neon inside your truck be at night?
I'd be worried about effecting your night vision, and causing a danger to yourself and others . . .
But, I've never seen it, so I don't know how bright it is.

Here is a little advise from an old fart of 26 years old. Neon will get you pulled over for changing lanes without using a signal or going 2 mph over the speed limit. The last thing you want to have mom and pop pay for is higher insurance or getting your ticket dropped. If a cop sees neon, he knows that whoever is driving the car is likely to be young or up to no good (which on saturday night, you will fit in both categories) so dont set yourself up to get pulled over. Thats just my opinion, I was your age not that long ago.

He isn't going to be able to see it I don't believe because it's going to be under the dash on both sides under both front seats and under the rear seats..

You do what you want, but if there is a hint of neon glow coming through your windows as you drive around town on Sat. night, you will get pulled over for something you did or didnt do. Red cars get pulled over 30% more often than any other color, and at night if they see glow, they will watch and follow you. I am just trying to help you out... I could care less if get neon. If you are going for something fun to do have your parents get you a CB at Radioshack and then get a PA horn a few days later. Mount the PA horn under the hood near the grill and then hold the cb up to one of your speakers or talk to pedestrians on the street. You can scare the crap out of people and they will be annoyed at you but honestly your 16 and that is what you do...
