Smile V10 cylinder numbers HELP???

I need to know the cylinder numbers on my V10...

I think that they are 1-5 on passenger side from the front of the truck and 6-10 on the drivers..

Cyl 1 and 6 at the front...

I need to change the COP on Cyl #5.

Thanks,

Craig

I got this from an old post:

Numbers 1 thru 5 are the passenger side bank front to rear. 6 thru 10 are the drivers side bank front to rear. Number 6 coil is a can of corn to change...5 minute job at best. The firing order is 1,6,5,10,2,7,3,8,4,9.

...is a can of corn to change...

That's an interesting way to put it...I never heard that expression before!

I like it...

Thanks everyone for the responses! I hope that #5 is not too bad...Got to do it tonight...shes running really bad!

Sure sounds like a lot of people have to replace the COP's...is this a pretty common problem?

It is a fairly common problem...really depends on age, mileage, and care of V10.

Good luck...

Don't feel too bad - My first COP went about 45K

But, mine is a 4WD and had seen many a muddy road by then.

Usually it's the cheap boots that allow the spark to go to ground - then it causes to COP to go south.

When I did my plugs, I put a couple of floor mats on top of the hood latch and surrounding area, put down a big bed comforter or two and just layed right on top of everything.

I weight 225 lbs, have a big belly, and didn't damage a thing.

I used a step ladder to get that far.

That's why they're called a "Tool Shed".
