King Ranch Owners, Quad Captains Chair Info Please!!!
I need to know this evening from anyone out there with a King Ranch with the Quad Captains Chairs. Is there any storage behing the rear seats and rear counsel or do you loose all the back seat storage area. I love the look of the quad captain chairs but I have always had the split bench rear seat and have used the storage space quite a lot. My dealer is placing my order for an 08 King Ranch tomorrow and I odered the split bench, but dang I sure do like the look of the rear Captains Chairs. Help with any pros, cons or information.
I have an 07 KR with the quads. Yes, there is some storage area behind the seats. Ford actually put a tray in this area. I have my hand tools, jumper cables, flashlight, the factory jack, and a few other misc. small things in it. Also, the console between the rear seats is huge inside. I started out thinking I wanted the regular bench seat in the rear, however, this quad setup grew on me real quick.
I've seen where some vendors actually make a subwoofer box that will fit behind these seats as well.
Thank you for the information. I just talked to my dealer and changed the order to Quad Captains Chairs instead of the split bench. Thanks again for the positive feedback.
My 03 has quad chairs and the black tray that goes all the way across the back of the truck. I have a small tool box, floor jack (el cheapo), rain gear and still plenty of room. The consoles are HUGE! I haven't put much in them but looks like 6 or 8 two liter sodas would fit standing up. I have thought about pulling one chair (looks like 4 bolts) and making a small platform to bolt in for xtra stowage (luggage etc) But then I realized I had a 6.5 foot x 4 foot storage area and maybe should get a folding cover. I can't say enough about the comfort of the quad vs bench. I really love my quads.
