The p/s pump that had the cooling lines coiled around the pump, what did they come on? What years? would it be suitable for a mustang IFS system? I think they were made in the mid fifties.
This p/s coiled line has got me puzzled. In the 57 truck shop manual Part 6 - STEERING, pg6-13 chapter 2 there is a line drawing showing this pump/reservoir titled "Power Steering System". The text associated with it would leave one to believe that it was used on all 57 trucks including the tilt cab. The next page shows a picture titled "pump installation" which shows the pump and brackets. There are five more sketches or pictures of this pump (one on a tilt cab but the others are not tilt cab). I don't have the experence and familiarity with F100's but think maybe it was just 57 that had these. I think the reservoir is the only thing different and the pump is the same. I really like the way it looks and want it on my truck. Any help would be appreciated. I need to find this pump!!!
I found the pump. It was on a F700. It was a tilt front that was fiberglass. Could not determine the year but it had a FE powerplant. Thanks for the tip to look in a F700. I walked probably twenty acres and only found 1 F700. I did find 1 F600 BIG JOB ser # F25YUV02082. I know it sounds crazy but the undergrowth is so bad that I could only get about 10 feet from it.
