I was just looking at the Pink slip for my '58 F-100 tonight, and decided to run a carfax report on it, but they say my Vin # is not long enough. Has anyone else had this problem?

I tried to carfax too and noticed it said the database was for cars manufactured from 1981 to present. It didn't do me much good for my '49 F1. Perhaps they standardized the VIN# to 17 characters in 1981.
