i just got done reading the codes on my truck with the new ae.. i came up with 6 --- 1) B1203 2)B1352 3)B1366 4)B1438 5)P0500 6)U2015
after i read the stored codes for the first time since i owned it i cleared them, disconnected the computer from the truck, turned the key off, then did it all over again and only one code came back... the P0500 was there... can someone explain the codes and what causes them.... also why did the one come back without ever even starting the truck since they were cleared thanks for all the help..... kramer
the truck is a 99 f250 super duty 7.3 6 speed... no mods that i know of.. only the fuel pump upgrade by kwik
Here is a link to all the codes. https://www.ford-trucks.com/article/...sel_Codes.htmlWhen you ran ae again you had to put the key in and turn it to the run position and the vehicle checks the sensors at that time.
miller... do you think that all those codes could have been from a loose harness in the colum?? because mostley all of them sound like they would all come from the colum now that you mention it because of the ignition ones and the wiper... but what would fail to store those codes... because i have never had a problem with the wipers of the key??.... or could they have been old codes because i havent had it for that long and i just read the codes for the first time......... thanks... kramer
I was just looking at all of the pinpoint tests and yes it does, even the P0500. It sounds strange but when associated with 1352 and 1203 the P0500 pinpoints start with the column and cluster wiring then GEM and PCM and then VSS.
The column harness is notorius for shorts you could have an intermittant issue or just being loose could cause it.
hope fully it just came loose at one time and stored a code... i cleared them but i will run it for a bit and read them again to see if any come back.... but why would the one come right back before the truck was even run or anything??

Just curious, did problem codes come back and did you solve the problem?
well clintbonnie....after i stumble across finding that my fuel system was terribly air locked i blead the system out and cleared the codes....it ran awsome, this was about exactly two months ago...i havent check the codes again since then but my truck started acting up again coming home late on valentines day, doing the same hesitation thing as before....once i get time i am goin to have to dive back into this thing (hopefully it may have just been fuel geling or something) because i am at my wits end with this thing
