Computer clarification stuff
Hey all,
I want to start doing computer work on my truck and have a few things that i need clarified, and was wondering about other people's experiences.
First, my questions. I have a '94 F150 5.0L 4x4 extended cab. I was wondering what kind of computer (EEC-??) i have and if i have OBD I or II.
Second, what are your guys' experiences with computer work? What sources were helpful for research? What software did you use? etc,etc,etc.

Well,
I'm not exactly too sure. I would like to see the sensor outputs on my labtop. I just got done with an internship for Cat, and they have a program which basically allows you to see what variables the ECM is dealing with. I would like to be able to do that with my truck, but I doubt that advanced of a program is out there, at least for cheap.
So basically I'm just looking for someway for me to hook my labtop into my truck's computer and read what I can out of it.
