Looking into LED tailights, wondering if there is replaceable LED bulbs for the tailights because it would be a lot cheaper then buying a whole new Tail light assembly... Any help is greatly appreciated.
Try ebay, I put in "1157 led" and came up with a bunch of led replacements for my tail light bulb (1157). Try the same thing with your bulb numbers. I was surprised there are so many styles available. But if there is no longer enough resistance to make your flasher work, you may need to change to an electronic flasher...
sweet! those are what i was looking for, i really didnt want to buy a whole new tail light assembly. You should get a 3'rd LED brake lights on your site, i'd buy one.
If you want, ive got a brand new clear one floating around my house here that I never got a chance to put on before I sold the Flincoln, if you want, catch up with me in PMs and ill make you a deal on it.
Bob do you carry the clear led bulbs? (for rear 3157) do you know that the flasher issue is a problem w/any led bulbs? i.e. do you have to buy the resistor kit? thanks paul
Sorry for the delay in response guys. garman, the bulbs on our site are the 3157.
paul, we dont carry clear LEDs because there is no practical application for them on these trucks. If you use white in the taillights, you will get hotspots from the LEDs, which is why you should use the RED ones in the taillights. We have tested a TON of bulbs in the 04 up taillights, and the ones on our site are the best.
These trucks DO require the resistor kit, or you will get a fast flash
