Yes that's right, under the kick panels. and possibly behind the vent plastic if equipped with a vent.
You should be able to unplug it from where the rubber conduit hole is in the cab without removing the kick panel. but you may have to remove it anyway etc... such is life.
There were differences in speaker door wiring between 1980-1981s, and 1982-1986, models so you may have to use and swap the existing wiring in your existing doors with the donor doors depending on year. Or at least swap plugs.
