Replacing original seat foam
Where do you get new foam to rebuild an orignal bench seat? Is it anything special besides just auto seat foam? How about the wires imbedded in cloth that seperates the foam from the springs? What can you repalce the wires with?

I replaced alll my seat coil springs with flat springs out of Caravan van; had upolsterer replace padding with mdium density foam, covered with vinyl.
Happy with results, will post pictures later today.

mid-Fifty sells complete foam sets seats and backs, don't know how the price compares to wha the guys above paid but it is made to fit our trucks.You can buy cut to fit vinyl or cloth also.

The price of foam has skyrocketed ever since Katrina hit and wiped out some of the manufacturing facilities for that product line. I paid $65 for a 3" thick piece of foam for my 56 just last month. It makes the pre-cut stuff on the web supply sites look like a good deal...
