thinking about a pro-jection clifford intake combo
as title say Im thinking about a holley projection (2bbl) mounted on a clifford or offy single plane I see lots on here that have used the holley 2bbl(2150) and 4bbl (390cfm) I was wonding if there was a reason I hadnt seen the projection used I know from the time and effort many here have put in thier 6 Its not for lack of money, time, or knowledge. so I just wondered if I was walking into a real pita to set up or what?
The motor is a 1980 I300 it is in a 83 bronco that is used for 4x4 trails and is mated to a np 435/208, so far I have put on the efi manifolds into a customX pipe into 2 cherry bombs. the rocker arms have been changed to the chevy ones.
thanks for any help or links you might have
I know there have been some new Projection products released the last few years and they might be better, but the 2 barrel projection has historically been a POS. I bought one whe they first came out and ended up selling it before I put it on. I tracked down several people at car shows that were running it and every one of them said to go with a carb instead. They don't adapt well to changing weather and they have no way to regulate the idle speed of the engine. It all boils down to them being nothing more than an easily adjusted electronic carburetor. The Projection 4 is supposed to be much better, but is a little much for the 300.
I was planning basically the same thing, but with the 700 4 barrel Holley Commander 950 TBI. http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...9&autoview=sku. It is expensive, but that's the plan. I was also thinking about the holley off road truck carb but really would like injection.
