I use my snap-on inch-lb torque wrench. It has the dial on it and you can either set the needle to zero and then torque and watch the needle. Or you can set the needle to what the torque setting is and then go til it comes around to the pin on the wrench. Fairly cheap and accurate enough for the work you are talking about.
