is there any thing I should do (preventative maintenance) before I take it to the shop to get the front end alligned. It looks pretty rough in the joints and I know when certain things are replaced on the front end you need to get an allignment afterwards so Im thinking i would ask you guys so I dont have to go twice.

You have a solid front axle, so alignments are really easy to do. You don't have to worry about caster or camber, but they will check the various front end parts for wear, like tie-rod ends, kingpins, etc.
My right front tire is canted inward (leans outward) REAL bad. Camber?
Is there a way to correct this issue so that I can drive it to get wheels/tires and an alignment?
I live about 30 miles from the nearest 'trusted' place for alignments. I've already ground one tire down not knowing of the issue. (bought the truck a few months back and have been tinkering on misc issues since)

The only bad thing about independent suspension in Ford trucks, the front-end always seems to have weak spots, so the tires whobble, or the tires lean in or out. I have a 96 F150, it hops and wanders a bit while driving, the sway bar bushings are getting replaced and the front left wheel bearing is getting fixed at my local tire shop, the guy is pretty good and trustworthy, so I hope it fixes most of, it not all of the problem. Do you have to re-align the front end if the bushings and wheel bearings are fixed/replaced?
