Excursion with rear roof cut...pickup conversion: anyone done it?

There's a few pics (on FTE) from Tampa, FL of an Excursion with an "avalanche" like rear end. About the only thing I've seen - beyond concept.

When the 1975 Econolines were introduced, several companies (one in TX), modified them by cutting the upper half of the body off past the "C" pillar..and converting them to tow 5th wheel trailers. They weren't bad looking either, and could tow very well with the 460.
The same outfits also began building 4 door Bronco's after 1978.

I'm going to question your Econoline modification taste.

I had an 89 c350 four door bronco. I absolutely loved it. It's the reason I got my excursion. If this possible build happens I'd eagerly tune in for updates.
