My 48 Ford F2 has the usual horizontal strips (stainless, I think) with the FORD plate between the strips toward the front. Forward of the FORD plate are two holes about 2 inches apart and at about a 45 degree angle. Same on opposite side, but opposite hand. I have seen no photos that show any kind of emblem here. Any ideas?
There are literally dozens of those trucks in fields around my town. I have never noticed one with extra badging on the hood.
Unless someone can document a specific reason they would be there, I would just smile quietly to myself about the ingenuity of the old farmers and plug weld the holes.
