Exclamation I need a 302

I have a 1992 Bronco with the 302 in it. In June I rolled in and broke both motor mounts. I thought that was the only problem with the engine so on Monday I replaced both mounts and... nothing. After seeing it if was hydro-locked I pulled the oil pan and to my dismay the last rod on the driver side (#8 I believe) had an S-shaped bend in it and was touching the cylinder wall. I don't have the time rebuild it and I don't the money to buy a crate motor. SO.....

Out of what years can I pull and engine out of for my truck? Does it need to be from a f-series pickup or bronco, or can a use one out of a van or large car (like a crown vic?)?

Thanks for the help guys

Any 302 will fit, externally they are identical. Performance varies wildly however, the pre 93 non HO motors from trucks and big cars are lame ducks compared to the later truck motors and of course mustang engines. If you get a car motor you'll need to change the oil pan and pickup, and the intake as well is you want to retain the truck induction.
