Thak for the info CanadaGuy. I wonder how long the exhaust filters will last.
The DPF will eventually need to be removed and cleaned, or perhaps replaced. But the intervals to that were not stated... atleast I didn't catch the interval if it were stated.
Everything I have heard or read, says that DPFs require mandatory replacement at 120,000 miles. Sounds like a troublesome maintanence issue. In addition, I have heard that DPF's will regen more often in city traffic, or low rpms because heat is lower. Road travel will cause hotter exhaust and less required regeneration. Just my two cents.
i have heard the same thing on the service interval on the dpf. but i feel like if the interval was 110-120 k miles with regular diesel fuel, i think the intervals will increase with the new fuel. plus the dpf does not like bio. the by products of bio exhaust are rumored to stop them up more often.
I also heard that while in regeneration mode that temperatures will get insane on the dpf..... high enough to melt asphalt. ugh, a whole new meaning to roasting the competition.
