Howdy. I have a typical rust problem. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement for the curved l-brace( not the fender brace, see pic) or how to manufacture my own? Is there another way to solve the problem? Thanks!

Sorry about the picture not coming through. I followed the directions, but it didn't work. The l-brace I'm reffering to is the curved brace that follows the contour of the fender and helps to brace the very back part of it against the bedside. It should be called the "dirt trap" or the "rust promoter" or "this design stinks, we know it's going to rust but it's already in production." (Disregard the sarcasm, no offence to the folks at Ford.)

Do you have any sheetmetal fabricating shops in your area? That could be made by somebody that makes body panels that has a "English wheel". The only complication is the notch for the 48-50 raised panels. I don't know where you're from, but here in Conn. we have a few shops that can make anything for a price. it's too bad you didn't post a few months ago when I threw out 2 rear fenders that were badly rusted, but had those pieces on them.A day late and a dollar short as they say.
