need help tranny/ transfer case
im getting ready to by a new c6 4x4 transmission for my 86 f250. i never had the 4x4 hooked up in my truck because i had a 2 wheel tranny. i need to know how to measure for the tail length of the shaft. the adapter is 6.5 inch long, transfer case is 4 3/8 in with a 3/4 lip sticken out. total length is 9 3/4. thats measuring with the adapter on tranny to the lip of the adapter. so i was told by a auto store i earthier need a 7 inch shaft or a 10. which one do i need to get. thank you<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com
