Keyless Entry Remotes
Are there any difference between remotes for a given year as far as the frequencies are concerned. I am going to be installation a keyless entry system in my 94 F150 over Christmas vacation. I have a module from a 94 Taurus, but no remotes. The basic part number is the same as what is called out in the F150 EVTM book. I plan on buying 2 remotes off ebay but some vendors list the remotes as only for a Taurus, only for a Mustang, only for a F150, etc.. The FCC number and ID number are same on all the remotes.

I *think* they are the same. I used to have a 2000 F250 and it used the same remote as my 2000 Expedition. I had them programmed to 1 remote for both trucks. After that, I had extras, so I used one on my Mom's 2000 Taurus. It worked. It might have helped that they were all the same year, tho.
