U-Joint Sizing

Can someone please give me a "U-Joint 101" lesson on how to determine if my u-joints are 1310, 1330 or whatever else?

If you take your measurements to any GOOD parts store they can match them up. U-joints with different size caps and spacing are available to match just about anything to anything.
