Tried a second time last night to disconnect the connector to test the glow plugs at the outside of the valve cover. No luck again. Do not want to damage the connectors. Just using my hand. If I had it apart once I guess I would know how to release it. Do you press on the center of the connector or need to lift it up to pull the connector off?
Can anyone advise or maybe someone has a picture of the connector apart?
If I remember right when I pulled mine off, I used a screwdriver and pressed in on the middle and pulled it off. Looks more complicated then it actually is.
I tried to use a screwdriver to push down on the middle. Saw no movement. I quit before I damaged it. Focused on the driver side as it is easier to access. It wasn't all that cold out so it wasn't that plastic was brittle.
There is a little clip that locks the wire harness into the uvc harness. I just checked and on the drivers side i reached to the far right(towards the drivers fender) and pushed the clip down and towards the engine with my hand and it popped out, be careful it doesn't fall into the valley under the turbo. Then i used a screw driver to pop the wire harness out of the uvc harness. Hope this helps, i don't have my camera or i could show you exactly how to do it.
I found a picture(it's not real good) http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2617...99870441rkwcyE
Under the gold screw on the clamp in the center of the page, push from that side towards the side with the wire harness(right to left in the picture)
