I am putting a 81' Dana 61 F-350 rear-end(3:73) in my '65-F250(4:56). All is going very well except for 1 issue. My truck uses a 1310 u-joint(3.25 x Ø.0625) and the new rear-end uses a 1335 (3.625 x Ø.125) I cannot find a conversion u-joint to make this work. I have found a 1310 to 1330, and could buy another joint with Ø.125 caps and fit them on a 1310 - 1330 joint, but what a PITA. Anybody know where I can buy a 1310 - 1335 u-joint?
Thanks!
Check with your local NAPA or equivalent. They sell conversion U-joints for just this situation.
More importantly, they understand what a "conversion" U-joint is, unlike the fuzz faced computer geeks behind the AutoZone counters - who think we don't know anything because what we know isn't in the computer.
Who further believe that what we know isn't worth anything precisely BECAUSE it isn't in the computer.
(Can you tell I had a run-in with said fuzz-face recently?)

That is a common U-Joint used by our friends in Blow Ties [3-1/4" X 3-5/8"]. I don't know the P/N but it's available at Like NAPA, Crane Carrier Corp, Carquest etc. I don't believe the National Discounter Franchise parts stores have the capacity to figure it out, but the Bigger better jobbers do.
When I threw away the Dana from my 88 F-150, I used one to get the 9" FoMoCo 31 Spline connected up to the smaller D-Shaft yoke spread width the Dana uses . . . .
FWIW I also swapped most of the brand mew Dana Brake parts from 88 F-150 onto the '77, 9", backing plates, but the smaller axle dia of the Dana prevented the drums from being swapped to the 77 Rear. I like the FoMoCo drums better anyway, more substance to 'em I think,

That's exactly why I asked here...went there first..got the deer-in-headlights look...especially when they ask what year model...I love that question because most places don't anything older than a '67 in the 'puter.
Anyway, thanks for the replys guys...going to NAPA over lunch!
