I recently replaced the engine in my 84 F150. It had a 302, I dropped a 351W HO into it. My question is how do I re-hook up my heat?? I replaced the core, and got new lines, but where do I hook the hoses up to the engine?? I'm confused because I have a hose running from the water pump to the thermostat housing. Should I put a T in that hose and run a heater hose to it, then run the other hose to the other water pump outlet?? My water jackets in the manifold are used up, but I can free one up if need be. What do you guys think?? I'm kind of at a loss here. Thanks

You will not get much heat if you plumb in to two water pump outlets. Perhaps someone here know which ports might be on the suction side of the cooling system.
Plumb an output line into the heater core from the water jackets in the intake manifold and connect the ouput line from the heater core into the water pump inlet not outlet. Water pump should be pumping everything into the front of the timing cover and into the heads then into the intake manifold from the heads.
Now, I know which hose goes to the water jacket to the heater core, but when I go to the core to the pump, which inlet do I use? I have two inlet/outlets on the water pump, one right above the other, one is plugged being the bottom, and the top one has a hose going to the thermostat housing. Should I plumb into the plugged inlet/outlet? And why is the other connected to the thermo housing?
Thanks
