No, the AIT sensor needs to be left intact but many will zip-tie it to the master cylinder or somewhere close to the filter. The filter-minder is also not necessary but SpringerPop came up with the idea to plug it into the end of the filter and it simply serves as a little more protection if the filter gets prematurely clogged.
I used a piece of 4" exhaust tubing to connect the filter to the intake hose.

Well guys, I ordered one of marks 5 inch exhaust systems with no muffler. I just got it in today man that thing is huge. I plan on installing it tonight if I have time. I can't wait to hear what it sounds like and how it looks with that monster exhaust.

Thanks rad, i already got the 6637 filter mod on my truck. Curious to see how much it helps pick up the truck and mpg. I don't have any programmers on it right now. its stock

How do you like your 5" exhaust? Did you install a muffler? Drone?

I'm considering 5" or 4" duals....or maybe a 4" if I lose power in the low end.
