I just ordered a turbo injection pump and injectors from Diesel Care and Performance for a little less than $500. I'm pretty thrilled! Now, I've got the a/c rebuilt, the cooling system renewed, new glow plugs with manual control, new return lines, new electric lift pump...after the ip and injectors, I'll have brakes, including hydroboost, turbo, and install the overload springs I already have...a little paintless dent removal to do and I'm good to go! This is so thrilling, cause it's part of my retirement plan...fix the truck and use it to pull a 5th wheel and m/c all over North America as long as our health holds up! Maybe 5-6 months and it'll be done! I'm kinda' thinking about retiring in Aug or Dec of 2008, depending on $ issues. Anyway, I was so excited to get such a good deal on the pump and stuff and that things were progressing so well along the path I want to travel, had to blow off some words. I like the old truck, no one will want to steal it and it should be much cheaper and easier to maintain and will pull good enough for a poor old retired guy in no hurry to get anywhere...course, the Jones' will be far ahead of me...but, I don't care.

 

Don't worry about the Jones'. They probably have a late model truck so you will catch them while they are getting ball joints put in.
