Does any one have pics of their set up for power brakes? I have a 49 M47(same as F100) and I would like to mount a power brake set up under the cab, just wondering what kind of donors had been used for this change over by others? If possible I would like to use the original brake pedal and just manufacture a mount for the booster, so anyone who has done this and could tell me what to watch out for would be a big help.
I am using the mount from mid-fifty. I used a booster and master from a '90 Mustang II. It fits nice. I used the original pedal and modified it (shortened). It's a good set-up, and inexpesive as well.
Most use an aftermarket kit rather than trying to cobble together something from the boneyard. Standard single diaphram boosters of a sufficient size will be a clearance problem, the kits use double diaphram boosters to keep the diameter small enough to fit and still provide enough boost. They also come with the proper MC and proportioning valve for your application, drum/drum, disk/drum, or disk/disk.
Thanks for the posts, Albuq that is a perfect pic of what I want to do with using the original pedal setup thanks for the pic.

Take a close look at that rig -- it belongs to a guy over on the Flathead Forum. He took it all the way down and (as I recall) painted the frame with epoxy. See the T-5? The Offy manifold with 3 deuces? The full flow oil filter remote mounted? I wish I had the patience to go that far!
