long stepside bed

where can i find one or should i just convert my rusty beat up bed?

well i'm in virginia i've checked all the rest-homes for retiered fords from rustburg to danville and west so you know of any others?

I see them out here very rarely. My BIL had a '70 F250 with a stepside longbed, but other than that one I've only seen about two others. Never come a across one in the local yards...not that you'd want to ship one all the way from the left coast...

I started looking for these about 2 years ago and I found very few for the first year. Then, in the second year, I have found quite a few and I finally ended up with the one I wanted. You will find many of these truck out there with the rear fenders removed and toolboxes put in their place on the sides. It looks identical to a utility box but under closer inspection you will see that is it the Ford box. I also learned that many times the guys who have these truck will still have the original step side fenders that were taken off to put the toolboxes on. They are out there. Ugly and rare!

i used a 66 8ft stepside bed with 53 fenders to replace my beatup original .it fit my 71 8ft stepside frame perfectly.
beauty in the eye of the beholder.
